- Banking operations are conducted only at the branches, while other offices act as controlling authorities or administrative offices that lay down policies, systems and internal control procedures for conduct of business, in compliance with the statutory/ regulatory impositions and in compliance of accepted accounting principles and practices that cover all transactions and economic events.
- These controlling/ administrative offices also stipulate the delegation of powers and fix responsibilities and accountability and these are involved generally in effective supervision, monitoring and control over the business activities and operations, including seeking faithful compliance of the bank’s laid down policies/ procedures /controls and deal with deviations therefrom.
